Instructional Services
The goal of Professional Development Services (PDS) is to address the training needs
of WESD staff and participating districts by providing quality professional
development opportunities. Various PDS programs are also made available to
state and educational agencies throughout the state of Oregon.
Professional
Development Services supports existing staff development at Willamette
Education Service Department by collaboratively working
with outside educational agencies: Willamette University, Chemeketa
Community College and Portland State University. The PDS department
offers Conversational Spanish classes with optional course credit from
Willamette University.
Professional Development
Services provides local assessments for paraprofessionals who are seeking
a local certificate in relationship to the NCLB guidelines.
We also provide training in skills needed to pass the paraprofessional
assessment. Please call or e-mail to receive details about the assessment.
