Willamette ESD Instructional Services

Willamette Education Service District (WESD) is pleased to have been selected by the Oregon Department of Education as an official "Supplemental Education Service Provider" as outlined by the No Child Left Behind Educational Act. This includes providing individual and small group tutoring to students Kindergarten through 12th grade at parent/guardian's request. This tutoring service is provided at no cost to the parent/guardian if they are in a qualifying school. Students can receive up to 35 contracted tutoring hours. WHAT: Individual tutoring at eligible schools in the academic areas of

Math
Reading & Writing
English Language Acquisition
Specific student needs to reach personal education goals/Oregon Benchmarks/district standards

WHO: Tutoring is available in the following areas

Students on IEPs, grades K-12
English Language Learners, grades K-12
Migrant Youth, grades K-12
Students who need extra help to reach Oregon Benchmarks, grades K-12

WHERE: Your child's local school (whenever possible)

WHEN: Time to be arranged, based on family schedule, availability of space and tutor

HOW: Do I sign my child up for tutoring services? Contact eligible schools or WESD for times of scheduled sign-up, or contact person at schools eligible for tutoring.
