Instructional Services Corrections Education Programs in Partnership with Oregon Youth Authority Willamette Education Service District manages the educational programs at Robert S. Farrell School (Hillcrest Youth Correctional Facility), Lord High School (MacLaren Youth Correctional Facility) and the Quest program at the Oregon State Hospital. Approximately 500 adjudicated youth ages 12-25 are served at the three schools. Robert S. Farrell serves approximately 180 youth in a co-educational environment, Lord High School serves approximately 320 young men and the Quest program provides educational services to approximately 30 young people. The emphasis of the three education programs is academic preparation, professional-technical education, and transition into the community. Providing a safe school environment and effective behavior management are areas of focus in the school environment. Participation in distance learning, College Credit Now coursework through Chemeketa Community College and correspondence courses are offered, in addition to a traditional high school environment. Alternative education is offered to students confined to a more restrictive environment. Annually, a number of GEDs, High School Diplomas, and AA degrees are awarded to students in these environments. Scott Harris Bill Conlon
