A.Sustitube registration is now closed.
Q.Do I need to get fingerprinted?
A. If you are a licensed teacher, you do not need to be fingerprinted. If you have never been fingerprinted or it has been more than 3 years since you were last fingerprinted in Oregon for educational purposes you will need to be fingerprinted before you register.
Q.Where can I get fingerprinted and what do I need to bring with me?
A. We recommend the State Police to do fingerprinting; however, you may go to any local police or sheriffs department, prices and times will vary. You will need to bring a fingerprinting packet with you, the police department will not provide you with the materials you need. Packets are available for pick up during normal business hours at both WESD locations at the front desk. More detailed information about fingerprinting is included in the packet.
Q.What do I need to bring with me to register?
A. All substitutes will need to bring:
- ID for an I-9 form, examples are Drivers License and Social Security Card or Passport.
- $10.50 Payment exact cash, check or credit card for ID badge.
- $20.00 Payment exact cash, check or credit card to cover paperwork required by Oregon House Bill 2026.
Licensed Substitutes will also need to bring:
- Actual Teaching License
Classified substitutes will also need to bring:
- Fingerprints and necessary forms included in the packet.
- $62.00 Payment exact cash, check or credit card for fingerprint processing.
Q. I am not licensed but I have been fingerprinted by a school district in Oregon less than 3 years ago, do I have to be fingerprinted again?
A. No, however it is your responsibility to contact the district that processed your fingerprints and request them to fax or mail a copy of your verification form to WESD. This form will only be accepted from the district that processed your prints. Forms can be faxed to 503.385.4832 or mailed to WESD, 2611 Pringle Rd SE, Salem OR 97302 Attn: Beth Steel.
