WESD Receives 2010-11 Financial Report

At the January 10th meeting of the WESD Board of Directors WESD received the Annual Financial Report for the year ended June 30, 2011.  This report was completed by Pauly, Rogers and Company, PC.  The report is the annual independent fiscal audit of WESD and includes the single audit of the agency’s activities that are federally funded. 

WESD received an “Unqualified Opinion” in this audit, reflecting the highest possible rating that can be awarded by independent auditors of a public entity.  This is the second consecutive year WESD has received this rating.  WESD has worked hard to improve documentation, efficiency and internal controls.  These key tenets are firmly established.  It is our expectation and belief that future audits will continue to earn this rating reflective of the priority WESD places on fiscal accountability.  

The audit will be reviewed by the Board of Directors and will be placed on the agenda for the next regular meeting where it will be formally accepted by the Board.
