Special Programs Behavioral Services The Willamette Special Program provides services to school districts with students who present emotional or behavioral problems that adversely affect their educational performance. Additional cognitive evaluation services to school districts are available to assess students who are diagnostically complex and/or multiple impaired. Who is Eligible? For emotional/behavioral services Students that exhibit the following emotional/behavioral difficulties that keep him/her from making progress in school: lacks ability to build or maintain interpersonal relationships; exhibits excessive behaviors ranging from hyperactive, impulsive responses to depression or withdrawal; exhibits inappropriate types of behaviors or feelings under normal conditions; and/or has a tendency to develop physical symptoms or fears associated with personal or school problems. For school psychologist evaluation services Referral for psychological evaluation services would include: students that are suspected of having a significantly low cognitive ability; suspected or known to have a traumatic brain injury; academic skills are significantly below that of his/her peers; and/or has suspected learning style differences or processing issues that interfere with academic learning.
