Regional Occupational and Physical Therapy Services In Marion, Polk, and Yamhill Counties, therapy services are provided through three regionally funded programs. All programs share the aim of providing supports to the educational participation and progress of students. Staff are licensed physical therapists, occupational therapists, or therapy assistants. | Who is Eligible? Children and students, from birth to 21 years of age, who have severe orthopedic disabilities and qualify for special education, may be eligible. Services are funded by state and federal special education programs. What Services are Provided?
How are Children Served? Qualifying children are served
in their homes, preschools, or schools, depending on their educational
placement. Who is Eligible? Students from ages 5-21 years on Individual Education Programs or 504 plans who need occupational or physical therapy services to support their educational program may qualify. Students do not need to have an orthopedic diagnosis. Districts provide funding for these services. What Services are Provided?
Early Intervention and Early Childhood Special Education Who is Eligible? Children from birth to five years of age who need therapy services to support their IFSP goals may qualify. Children do not need to have an orthopedic diagnosis. Services are funded by a contract with the Oregon Department of Education. What Services are Provided?
