Braille Clinic


This day-long workshop is designed for ESD and District employees
who transcribe 
classroom materials for students within Oregon. This training will
provide an opportunity
for transcribers to develop a “community of Braillists”, working
toward the goal of providing uniformity in
Braille services across the state.
Braille providers of all skill and experience levels are
encouraged to participate.


Agenda:


Demonstration of the functionality of Braille2000 translation software along
with tips and tricks to make the most efficient use of your transcription time

Components of new and revised Braille codes and guidelines will be highlighted
and summarized as they specifically pertain to daily worksheets and other ancillary materials
Discussion of resources available to transcribers

Demonstration of computer-generated tactile graphics
