As the saying goes, “It takes a village to raise a child” -African Proverb. The Oasis/BIP staff are that “village”.
Throughout the past ten months, the Oasis staff have continued to build relationships and do their very best to provide an education to the students in the program. The amount of flexibility, patience, and hard work has been amazing from each and every one of the Oasis staff members! The staff has been continually asked to change what has been working to accommodate new guidance, to “think outside the box” in figuring out how to best meet the needs of every student in their classrooms, to provide limited in-person instruction while still including those students who have chosen to continue Comprehensive Distance Learning, the list goes on.  The “asks” have been huge and yet the staff has always risen to the challenge.
From weekly paper/pencil packet delivery to the classroom Zoom meetings with all of our classroom staff, every one of the staff members is doing their part to keep students engaged. It’s been a difficult road, but the Oasis/BIP staff have done a terrific job navigating through it and staying positive with each other and with the students.
