Staff Recognition: June 2021
Katie Grauer | Administrative Assistant | School Improvement Services
Katie Grauer has been with the School Improvement Services (SIS) department for a few years; however, this is her first year as an Administrative Assistant. Katie is known for her “can do” attitude, intelligence, and positivity.
As soon as Katie learned staff would be returning to the office, she took the initiative to map out where everyone would be stationed. The department was almost out of space when we started telecommuting, and added lots of new staff over the past year, so finding space for everyone was no easy feat. She organized every aspect of the return, from preparing cubicles to ordering technology to be sure everyone could transition back to the office with ease. Thank you Katie!
Cristina Valdes | Receptionist | Yamhill Center
Cristina has worked tirelessly throughout the year to support our Oasis Program and audiology evaluations. Cristina is bilingual and welcomes all families into the Yamhill Center in a compassionate and caring manner.
Additionally, Cristina has developed new skills by scheduling EI/ECSE evaluation appointments with families and entering information into their system. Cristina took on these new tasks to help support other clerical staff in WESD to get evaluations scheduled for our youngest learners.
Cristina always has a smile on her face and plays an important role in the Yamhill Center. Thank you Cristina!
