Current conditions are stressful for students and educators. You requested a set of guidelines to help implement social and emotional learning into classrooms, where it can help so many. Combining years of research and personal experience, the Cross-Functional Equity, Inclusion, and Achievement Team (CFEIA), along with a regional steering committee made up of educators from our component districts, developed a set of five competencies to help all educators embed social and emotional learning (SEL) into the school day.
