    Overview: On Friday, November 5 at the Virtual Statewide Migrant Conference, we heard from speakers from around Oregon who shared their expertise and services related to Migrant Education.  On Saturday, November 6 in the morning, parents attended the Migrant Parent Conference and heard state speakers and attended a variety of workshops. Also, Saturday, November 6 in the afternoon students in grades 6-12 and out of school youth attended the Migrant Youth Forum. Parents  also were invited to atten the Migrant Youth Forum.

2021 Migrant Youth Forum


  • The 2019 Migrant Education Conference took place at the Keizer Community Center at Keizer, Oregon on Friday, November 8.

    The Oregon Migrant Education Program hosted the conference for MEP Staff and migrant families led by the OMESC, Specialist Luis Arias and Jennifer Lassen. Kudos to both specialist for the great leadership and for putting it together. The event was a success thanks to the great participation of the SPAC and MEP Staff of the nineteenth regional programs from around Oregon.

  • The 2018 Student Institute took place at Chemeketa Community College on Saturday, November 3 with the participation of students from all the nineteenth regional programs.

  • The 2018 Parent Institute organized by the Migrant Education Program and took place on Saturday, November 3 at Chemeketa Community College.

    The event had participants for all over Oregon which made this event a success!

  • The 2018 MEP New Specialist Training and the In-service was directed to welcome new and existing Graduation, Family Engagement, OMSIS, MSIX, ID&R & Ed. Tech. The New Specialist Training took place at Willamette Educational Service Center on Thursday, September 6th and The Statewide In-service was on Friday, September 7th at Chemeketa Community College.
    Participants collaborated in activities, discussions and provided valuable feedback crucial to continue improving the Migrant Education Program.
