Educational Technology Technical Support

  • Virtual Learning

    Overview

The statewide Educational Technology technical support framework includes preparing and training MEP personnel to establish and foster the use of technology (current educational software), and self-awareness of technology skill needs among our migrant students and their families, as they transition into a higher grade. Thus, it is fundamental to develop a supportive infrastructure from Pre-K through high school that enables MEP personnel to guide and direct students as they progress towards graduation, therefore increasing migrant students’ academic achievement in Oregon schools.

Educational Technology Virtual Professional Developments

  • Professional Development Objectives

    1. Facilitate opportunities for MEP staff to learn and share effective practices around Educational Technology Engagement during trainings sponsored by the OMESC in order to support migrant families and students effectively.
    2. Continue the state and local program alignment of Educational Technology plans with the Service Delivery Plan (SDP) when developing annual Educational Technology support services.
    3. Assist in developing an Educational Technology Plan, set goals developed in said plan, provide technical support to Educational Technology Specialists, and build capacity in areas related to school, family, and community partnerships.
