Non-inclusive Environment (NIE)

The Non-inclusive Environment(NIE) are self-contained classrooms serving children between the ages of 3-5 who have special education needs.  If a child's IFSP team determines the child's special education services cannot be provided in a more typical early childhood setting such as home, childcare, Head Start, a community preschool, the team may agree to "place" the child into a specialized setting to receive their services. The curriculum is designed for children who have significant delays in multiple developmental areas.  Related services are provided as indicated on the IFSP.

Non-inclusive Environment (NIE) classrooms are geographically located in Marion, Polk and Yamhill Counties.
