Early Childhood Education

The Oregon Migrant Education Service Center (OMESC) offers statewide training, coaching and technical assistance to Early Childhood Education (ECE) Specialists within the Migrant Education Program (MEP) across Oregon. ECE Specialists support migrant students in various ways, including:

• Encouraging and assisting migrant students' participation in preschool programs.
• Providing direct instruction through Migrant Preschools and Summer School programs.
• Supporting parents through home visits that offer guidance and resources to help them better support their children’s learning at home.

Through these efforts, specialists enhance educational opportunities and resources for migrant children and their families.
