Career Connected Learning

Empowering Students. Bridging Education and Industry

Career Connected Learning at Willamette ESD bridges the gap between industry and education to provide meaningful career-connected learning experiences for students in all Marion, Polk, and Yamhill counties. Our programs are designed to equip students with the knowledge, skills, and opportunities they need to succeed in their future careers. Through collaborative efforts with local school districts, industry partners, workgroups, and community organizations, we focus on career exploration, awareness, training, and preparation.

Control Tower provides supplemental support for districts that subscribe through their local service plan, offering the standard career-connected learning services plus additional benefits. This includes job shadowing, internships, and extra opportunities that give students invaluable hands-on experience and insights into their future careers.

Our Work with Students

We believe that Career Connected Learning gives students the chance to explore careers, prepare for the workforce, gain valuable work experience, and make informed decisions about their future. We work to provide a variety of experiences that connect students to industry while they are in high school. Are you a student looking for some career experience? Check out the opportunities!

Our Work with Educators

Work readiness starts in the classroom and continues into the workplace. Educators play a crucial role in preparing students for their future careers. We provide resources to help educators raise awareness about jobs in today’s workforce and connect with industry to offer career-related opportunities for students. Ready to connect yoru students? Our Work with Industry

Industry involvement in high school is crucial for preparing the next generation for the workforce. We connect businesses, associations, and workforce boards with practical ways to engage in education. Our goal is to provide the infrastructure for industry partners to help develop work-ready students upon graduation. Interested in getting involved? Visit our industry page!
