WESD Staff RESOURCES

The death or serious injury of a student or staff member.

A traumatic event that polarizes, isolates, or shocks people.

We will listen to your situation and offer consultation or support as needed in one or more of the following areas:

Administrative support

• Procedural support for administration around crisis response.
• Attend beginning and/or end of day staff meetings.

Support Rooms

• Co-lead support room for students.
• Co-lead support room for staff.

Referrals & Resources

• Facilitate referrals to district counseling staff and/or community partners
• Provide information about coping strategies

After Crisis support

• Assisting with follow-up needs.
• Consult on methods to monitor and support students and/or staff in need.

Volunteers from...

Team members may be school counselors, social workers and school psychologists, or they may be administrators or others in the school community who have experience dealing with crisis situations.
