Students need a safe, secure environment for educational success. Oregon schools are tasked with ensuring that proper hazard protection is built into school operations and facilities. This means school officials are required to plan for potential emergencies and prepare to respond to them.

These services are available at no cost to ESD's and School Districts in Marion, Polk, Yamhill, Lincoln, Linn, Benton and Lane Counties.

Relevant Oregon Statutes/Rules
Oregon Revised Statute 336.071  and Oregon Administrative Rule 581-022-2225  require schools to instruct and drill students on emergency procedures and maintain a comprehensive safety program that includes plans for responding to emergencies.
