What is the WESD Aspiring Educator Scholarship?
Scholarship funds support diverse candidates currently employed by WESD with some of their expected expenses related to their education career pathway. The scholarship is one of a variety of supports the WESD GYO can provide for employees on their pathway to licensure.
Funds may be used for:
Tuition
Books and supplies for academic purposes
Supplementation of childcare needs while attending school
Other potential related expenses (as approved by the Scholarship Selection Committee)
Who qualifies for the Aspiring Educator Scholarship?
The WESD Grow Your Own Aspiring Educator scholarship is available for employees seeking a TSPC-approved teacher licensure through an accredited Oregon Community College’s Associate of Arts Oregon Transfer (AAOT) degree or through an accredited Oregon public/private college/university education degree.
