Asset Based Communication
Saturday, April 11th from 9am to 12pm
This virtual course is designed for educators to engage in ways to see and communicate with our students differently. It focuses on shifting our mindset from a deficit frame into an asset based
frame.

Developing a Culturally Responsive Practice
March 10th and 12th from 4:30 pm to 6:00 pm
This virtual 2-session course is designed for educators to begin to explore the power of intentionally creating a culturally responsive
practice.
The following are the key learning objectives:
- Learn the history of Cultural Responsiveness in education
- Clarify the need for Cultural Responsiveness in and out of the classroom
- Dissect their own cultural preferences and examine the ways in which this impacts their practice
- Unpack strategies to engage with curriculum and students differently by interpreting the 5Rs in Cultural Responsiveness

Foundations for Allyship: Creating LGBTQ2SIA+ Inclusive School Communities

From 4:30 pm to 6:00 pm
Join us for a welcoming and beginner-friendly workshop to explore basic concepts around LGBTQ2SIA+ identities, terminology, and inclusive practices in a supportive space. Throughout four virtual sessions, we’ll build community, develop shared language, and practice real-life allyship
through activities, reflection, and discussion.
