Travis McDonald | Lead Behavior Intervention Coach
Travis McDonald is recognized for his leadership in the Behavior Intervention Program and for his leadership in advocating at the state level for an equitable educational environment. Travis’ contribution to the success of our behavior program at the Yamhill Center is tremendously important. He provides support and guidance to students and staff every day, creating an environment where safety and learning are equally valued. Recently Travis participated in a day of advocacy and action at the state capital. Oregon educational administrators of color came together to work with legislators on strategies to address; adequate educational funding, support for mental health and safety, and plans to grow and diversify Oregon’s education workforce. After legislative meetings, the group met with Governor Brown to continue their advocacy for equity in our schools. Thank you Travis for your leadership, advocacy and your outstanding representation of our agency.
